1st class U.S. mail. Large orders and international mail require additional postage.
Normal delivery is 1-2 weeks.

Washington State residents add 8.4% sales tax.

For conservation reasons, we do not make photocopies of historic photographs.

Prepayment is required on all photo reproduction orders.

COMMERCIAL USE AND FEES
Permission and Fees - (in addition to print fees)
Usage fees apply to photographs which are published in any book, magazine, calendar, non-print media, etc., or which are used for displays, advertising purposes, etc.

For non-private use of photographs duplicated from the JCHS photo collection, a written statement of intent must be approved by the Executive Director of the JCHS Museum.

If use is approved, a fee is charged and permission for "one-time, non-exclusive" use in one production is granted by formal letter.

Upon production, a copy of the article, book, video, etc. in which a photo is used must be sent to the JCHS for inclusion in the JCHS Library reference collection.

All public use of JCHS photographs must be acknowledged.

All revenue generated by the photographic services beyond the cost of production are used to maintain the historic photo collection.

Our policy for web site use of images follows the example of the Washington State Historical Society. For web site use of JCHS photographs, we request the scan of each image be no better than 72 dpi (to discourage duplication of web images). Further, we request a credit line on the bottom of each photo ("photo courtesy of the Jefferson County Historical Society, Port Townsend, WA") and a disclaimer on the home page about contacting the appropriate institutions directly if interested in using any images found on the web site. For requests involving unusual uses, the director may negotiate other fee conditions including royalty fees or percentages of sales.

Photo use for postcards, posters, calendars or other single use mass reproduction is subject to special contractual agreements with the JCHS. For requests involving unusual uses, the JCHS Executive Director may negotiate other fee conditions, including royalty fees or percentage of sales.

Videotaping of originals by researcher on site requires JCHS Executive Director approval and prior arrangement - $10.00/image.
