Research + Collections
Our collection is a vast and ever-growing resource, representing the history, art, culture, and heritage of Jefferson County.

With over 500,000 objects, our collection spans artifacts, archive materials, art, photographs and more, stewarding the legacies of our region for generations to come. While less than 1% of these items are on display at any given time in our museum and historic house, the entire collection is stored and cared for in perpetuity.

Our collection reflects decades of contributions from individuals, families, and businesses, and we continue to add to it. These objects help us build immersive exhibits and educational programs, bringing the rich stories of Jefferson County to life.
