Thanks for your interest in volunteering with us! We’re currently at full capacity for volunteers, but we’d love to have you on board when spots open up. Please drop us your details to join our waitlist, and we’ll reach out as soon as opportunities arise.

Our volunteers provide welcoming museum experiences and enriching programs with their skills, expertise, and passion. Volunteering with JCHS is an excellent way to support our mission and share your love for arts and history with our community.

If you love working with people who share your passion for learning, storytelling, art, history, and exciting museum experiences, we would love to work with you as a volunteer.

Volunteers support us in a variety of critical roles, including:

    • Visitor services representatives at our museum and historic houses
    • Walking tour guides
    • Event support

Some roles are only available seasonally or on an infrequent basis, but we always have a strong need for visitor services representatives at our museum and historic houses. If you’re interested in volunteering with us, submit your application online!

We currently require all JCHS volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to any medical exemptions. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after they have received all recommended doses of a COVID-19 vaccine listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Our 501(c)3 nonprofit is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. We currently have openings on our Board for folks who are passionate about our mission and want to lead JCHS. Contact director@jchsmuseum.com if you would like to learn more about joining our Board.
